Same. It just sounds so lush and full. I've described it as 'what in my dreams, i thought a prophet 5 or one of those mythical, top expensive synthesisers would sound in person, before i actually played and owned some hardware synths.
The 4000+ ones are out of my budget anyway, so i wouldn't know
Sequentials are good, but they somehow all have a similar sound.
Not bad in any way, but i've kinda gotten a bit tired of it (luxury issue, i know)
But the filter and resonance on the OB6 is amazing, love the bandpass as well... OBX might be 'more' synth (and more $) in general, but that filter is really unique.
Monosynth: Intelijel Cascadia
punch, big and bold. It kinda takes the spot an Arp 2600 or a Minimoog would fill musically for me.
I think it's cool we are starting to have modern synths that can fill the niche of those dusty fragile old ones, with modern advantages and great sound.
So much more exciting and interesting than paying ten grand for a clichรฉ that might break any moment or even cheaply cloned iterations of them.
