NfRemote GUI-Code Discrepancies with Omnia 9/XE Pro in Z/IPStream 9X/2
Hi everyone,
I’m new to Gearspace and excited to join this community! I’m the owner of DJ OsiriS FM HD, an online radio station where I use Z/IPStream 9X/2 with Omnia 9/XE Pro for audio processing, controlled via NfRemote. I’ve been experimenting with .amx presets to fine-tune the sound, but I’ve run into a technical issue that I hope some of you might have insight on.
NfRemote’s GUI doesn’t consistently match the .amx preset code, especially for frequency settings. For example, in the “Quintessence.amx” preset, three bands have identical code values (peq_freq[3]=50, peq_freq[4]=50, peq_freq[5]=50), but the GUI shows them as 664 Hz, 2891 Hz, and 124 Hz. If I modify any value in the GUI and save, all three bands then show 664 Hz in the GUI, but this still doesn’t align with the code.
I’ve tested this extensively by setting frequencies in the GUI and checking the saved .amx code, and vice versa. The relationship is non-linear and inconsistent. For instance:
GUI 100 Hz → Code 22.84 Hz (ratio ~4.38)
Code 4 Hz → GUI 26 Hz (ratio 6.50)
Code 80 Hz → GUI 5432 Hz (ratio 67.90)
Is this a known issue with NfRemote or Omnia 9/XE Pro? Could it be a bug, or am I missing something about how NfRemote interprets .amx presets? If needed, I can share the .amx code and screenshots of NfRemote showing these inconsistencies.
Any experiences or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
