I got the System-8 and what I was expecting was right!

The reason it sounds more open and clear compared to the JD-XA from the stereo out.
Also, arpeggio's look so beautiful on a spectral analyzer...
I would rather assume the System 8 has 96KHz DA converters.
The internal rate could be anything, the signal is downsampled to 48Khz before conversion.
