"I know you typically shouldn't use a shotgun indoors unless you have the right non reflective location. \r\n\r\nNow on a budget, a lot of people are using the NTG-2 because it doesn't sound terrible and you can get them for $200.00. These mics are really not true shotgun mics, they have a much more generous pic up range. \r\n\r\nSo could this be a replacement for a budget hyper? or would you just get a better sound using the 416 on both indoor and outdoor until you save your pennies for a hyper that's 1000+?\r\n\r\nAs a temporary solution - 416 outdoors and NTG 2 indoors, let me know what you think."
