Thanks for checking out the New Product Alert! We have introduced a few forum-specific rules here in order to try to keep discussions reasonably on track and interesting to members, visitors and manufacturer/company participants alike. Please read these simple rules and heed our request to follow them. Happy posting!

These rules apply to the main New Product Alert and its sub forums.

• The New Product Alert (NPA) subforum is a place to discuss newly-announced products.
• When we receive "official" press releases from manufacturers/distributors/PR companies, we post these as The Press Desk. When possible, we will try to merge any "unofficial" announcements into "official" threads and when we do, for both technical and accuracy-of-information reasons, The Press Desk post will always be set as the first one.
• If you are not interested in a product, please do not post simply to say you are not interested, it’s senseless.
• If you make a habit of persistently trolling a particular company and their product threads, both you and your posts may be removed from the thread, and/or the NPA forum.
• The unfair trashing of a product will not be tolerated. Constructive criticism is fine but product and manufacturer-bashing posts with no other redeeming content will be deleted and you may be removed from discussions.
• Persistent complaining about a product's price/subscription is not permitted. While price is relevant to a product, we have found that tangents about this can quickly ruin an announcement. Please use The Moan Zone for that sort of discussion.
• Regarding software, if you wish to discuss super deep-dive things like nulling, PluginDoctor analysis etc. please create a new thread in Music Computers. You can share a link to your new thread in the relevant NPA announcement for others that are interested in such discussions.
• General manufacturer/company policies should be discussed in other forum areas. Please start a new thread in a relevant part of the forum.
• While product comparisons are fine, please don’t hijack threads with long discussions about competing products. Simply start another thread in a relevant part of the forum to discuss comparisons in greater depth. Likewise, if you make a competing product, please do not hijack a competitors thread.
• Please don’t attempt to diminish someone’s excitement or enthusiasm on Gearspace, your negativity is uncalled for and will be removed.
• Please be respectful to company representatives that make the effort to be active on forum and do not take your company grievances out on them.
• All regular Gearspace posting guidelines still apply. See here for more information.

If you fail to follow these guidelines your post will be deleted and you may also be removed from the discussion and/or from participating in the NPA.

Please help to keep New Product Alert and Gearspace free of bickering and off-topic derailments. Hit the report button if you see anything that violates our rules and posting guidelines - it's confidential and helps to keep the place clean. Once you have reported a post then do not reply or quote it, you’d only be adding to the mess that requires cleaning.

Please note - We occasionally test new features in the NPA. You might for example see things like polls or pinned news from time to time. Please don’t side track a new products thread with off topic questions about these features.
