I really wish I could feel it though! One thing that bugs me about Zoom stuff is that it always feels like the price point compromise is in the build quality/chassis. I think that's a common complaint and I wonder if this one will be more robustly built.
Same here. I've been wanting to pick up something for recording samples while I'm out and about. Purely on a functional basis, several Zoom models blow away competing products on a features vs. price basis. Especially the ones with XLR inputs.
My question is: How's the build quality? Are the Zooms sturdy and reliable, in general?
Anyone already tried the new Zoom H6 with 4x external condenser mics? There is also possibility to detach the Zoom mic and replace it with another 2x XLR/TRS inputs. I'm wondering if the 4 AA bats inside could handle 6x phantom power for external condenser mics, let's say 6mA current consumption each... and how's the quality of such a preamp.
