Thanks for asking.

On Ample Bass, Press MIDI note B4, C5, D5 and E5 will respectively trigger descending fourth, unison, ascending fifth and ascending octave of current note or last ended note with octave shape.

Sorry compared it with Trillian - I like Trillian better especially how it handles articulations like pops and slides that can be put on seperate outs/midi channels.
A ton more flexible as different samples/patches. Ample Sound will need to do their homework on Version 2.

Trillian always sounded boomy and flat to me.....but it's all subjective. Plus those samples were recorded so long ago. I really think this new bass sounds closest to the real thing. But I'm not doing pops...and I can slide in/around with this one.

It's how you use it Trillian has over 30 GB of samples it sounds way way more realistic than Amplesound's relatively tiny sample library.
I can do way more in Trillian - just because it's new does not make it automatically better.
I have use both and the feature list and numbers of dwarf's Amplesound.
over sixty Electric Bass sounds including 4, 5, 6 and 8-string Electric Basses played by 6 different bassists.
If your getting it too "boomy" you're doing something wrong.

I love everything Spectrasonics, but I love Amplesound too.. I'm not sure why you're comparing library sizes and calling Amplesound's a 'tiny' library? It's a library of a single instrument. Trillian is 30 GB for sixty electric basses, plus acoustic and synth bass samples.

Yes there are way more bases but there are far more articulations and round robin samples on each instrument.

Didn't mean to piss you off....I'm thrilled it's worked for you...really...I'm not being remotely sarcastic.

As for me doing something wrong. I doubt after playing (with VI's) bass (and mostly everything else) on charting albums and 1300 + eps of T.V. shows that I'm missing something.

BTW - I also LOVE this: The Upright which is way crisper and life like than....you know what.

The Fender P-bass patches in Trilian each come in at around 2.5 to 3 GB.

Amplesound's P-bass is about that size.

I have Trilian and use it for the electric and acoustic basses. Never for the
synth basses because I use virtual analog synths or hardware synths for those.

I think I'll get Amplesound's P-bass because I like the sound of it, it's a nice
alternative to Trilian's P-basses.

I tried downloading, but after I click on the ABP Tab, I get an error message "Not Found".

This makes me worry about buying ABP, because if the demo link doesn't work, maybe the purchased product link won't work either.
