Maybe they'll make a UAD Oculous plugin for the Apollo - Sure you'll be using the Apollo's mixer/monitor path but it'll look like you are using the Shadow Hills

And with the designer's approval, it will be just as good as the hardware unit. And it will ctainly not diminish the value of the hardware. In fact it will increase the value of the hardware, as everbody (in a very democratic way) will then be exposed to the great convenience of the Oculus, and they will want the hardware.
At least I think this is the way it is supposed to be.

Did you actually get one (or 3)? I noticed in your link the 'base station' has less controls than the updated version shown in VK's photo a few posts back. Also seems strange that VK doesn't have them listed on their site yet.

How does the remote work?

I do hope that it could use OSC.

How does the wireless work? Is it via wifi and if so how well will it integrate with existing infrastructure?

I dream of a world where you can put various producer controls around the room...
