Wow, I wasn't using this thing before - but I just tried the new Clean mode on drums and it really sounds GREAT.

Definitely going to spend some more time getting to know this one now.

It's actually version 1.2, so I don't think it's considered a "new product"

It does seem like a big update for a 1.x release.

It is really a big beast. Now some usability improvements and a smoother autogain are coming, together with AAX.

Cannot get to the studio for a couple of days! Anyone tested out the new clean mode yet? Also,im sure i read somewhere that Dave derr was contributing some presets for V2? Is that correct quinto or was I sleep reading again

Clean! is closer to the real thing, as requested

Everything I tested so far functions as expected. Disto has become a beast.

I'm using it with Blue Cats Patchwork in PT 12:

Now we can use just the fatso with the comp bypass.
I like the sidechain filters with hp + bandpass modes
The wet/dry mix function is working nicely.
The meters are more precise.
The attack and release function the same.
Haven't tried the auto gain function. I won't need it. Some say it needs to be worked on.
Cpu hit seems to be around 15%.

Quinto is pretty fast with fixes if there is anything to be fixed.

Clean is personally my favourite for the drums buss
So deep, punchy, round and nice imho.

Briefly tested it against my hardware on a snare. Very well done. Damn near same settings for a very similar result.

I much prefer this version. We may have a new workhorse comp on our hands once the beta issues are ironed out.

Quinto's done a fantastic job on this!

I already commented on this, but wow is this useful. I was just working on a mix and used it on lead vocals, background vocals, kick, snare, and overheads.

I admittedly never ended up using the original because it distorted too easily and was a transient devourer, but this thing is incredible.

I agree with all the other positive assessments. This new clean mode is really something. On drum buss and bass guitar it's especially effective, but it's also working well on some other things too. HIGHLY recommended.
