We have taken El Rey 2 to a whole new level, adding powerful new tools to enhance performance and sound quality. Now, it’s ready for you to apply to your sessions.

El Rey has become a plug-in suite called El Rey2 which now includes two separate tools, so please welcome the new entry, El Rey Stereo.

Once the desired size is selected, the plug-in must be removed and re-loaded to apply the changes. This action affects the currently selected plug-in. New instances of the same plug-in will open with this magnification.

Additionally, each plug-in included in the El Rey2 suite comes in a 'standard' version and an alternative 'ZL*' version, which operates at *zero latency and is thus suitable for use when tracking (at the cost of extra processing resources).
Main features
Compressor Efficiency - Faster, more accurate, and at a fraction of the CPU consumption than before, ensuring the most improved and precise compression to date. The resolution of the compressor has been 'boosted', providing precise and controlled handling of transients. Our new optimized Engine now recalculates variables at the sampling frequency, ensuring predictable behavior, and, thanks to oversampling, we also achieve unmatched accuracy and improved audio quality.
Debumpify Feature - The De-Bumpify control for optional reduction of the low frequency pre-amp sonics -particularly useful for stereobus and mastering purposes through bypassing the bump on the preamp.
Stereo Controls - New stereo controls that provide the ability to work in stereo unlinked or mid-side.
Presets - El Rey2 includes crafted presets from Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum-certified audio engineers Dave Pensado, Joe Chiccarelli, Serban Ghenea, Jason Evigan, David Kalmusky, Alan Meyerson, Mark “Spike” Stent, Busbee, and Mark Rubel.
