I’m excited to announce version 1.0 of our microtonal tuning plugin Entonal Studio is now available.

Entonal Studio makes it simple and intuitive to make microtonal music in your DAW and beyond. Go beyond 12-tone Equal Temperament with the radial graph, and make your tunings simple to play and sequence thanks to flexible keyboard mapping options. There are also a plethora of tunings ready to go in the browser.

Host plugins within Entonal Studio to make your favourite instruments microtonal, or output MIDI pitchbend or MPE messages to route within your DAW or to external hardware. It can also act as an MTS-ESP master plugin to control the tuning of supporting instrument plugins.

Entonal Studio is available now for the introductory price of £59. A 28 day demo is also available. The price will increase to MSRP £79 on 16th August. Entonal Studio runs on Mac, Windows and Linux.

The thought of playing hardware synths in scales of my own making has me very tempted...

If you have a multitimbral synth, you can use the Standalone MIDI Effect version, or route it through your DAW, using "Multichannel" mode. You'll need to set up the same patch on a few channels for polyphony.

Or for a monophonic synth you can use MIDI mode to alter the tuning.

I've got a Rozzbox hiding in a box under my desk that I've been meaning to test out... (5 part multitimbral). I'll do a video of it soon

One question: are the sign-up confirmation emails automated? I've been 30 minutes or so waiting for it (and checking spam folder).

Also, the purchase button does nothing (Chrome on Windows)!

There have been a number of problems with the web server today. Yes you should have got an email with instructions. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Still not operational.

I have not received a mail after registering and the purchase button does nothing in Chrome. I'll try and proceed with Safari.

The major website issues have been fixed.

The first 50 signups got stuck in a queue for up to 12 hours!

Currently you need to be logged in to buy it. Working on a solution for that issue.

Is this something that your ear has to develop to enjoy? It sounds like wrong notes to me and makes me want to stab myself in face with a spoon.

Yes, it takes time for your ear to become accustomed to different tunings. Just like it took time for your ear to become accustomed to equal temperament tuning, which would sound out of tune to classical composers and make them want to stab themselves in the face with a spoon.

first of all, thank you adamski for this great software. In my life I have used several retuning softwares, and Entonal is definitely the most comprehensive.

I haven't used Entonal in recent months, and on one computer it asks me to activate the license, which is no more possible.

I use Entonal on two computers. I may have registered Entonal on a third test computer.

Is it possible to reset the machine numbers of my license so I can re-register the software again? Or some other solution?
