Love the modular concept/UI but.. Why on earth there is no ducking?!? Seriously, it makes no sense to release such a complex multi-FX plug in without a way to keep it under control in.

Well, if you manage to add ducking I’ll consider it

Cool plug and extremely tweakable... am a big fan of ducking on delay plugs, but this doesn't seem to need it unless you're just doing clean delays, and in that case just use another delay with ducking... this plug can do clean, dirty, wacky, soupy and atmospheric very well along with some extra tone shaping and chorus... the UI is resizable and easy to navigate... definitely an endless pool of possibilities to play in.

Edit... trial version works only with internet connection and if you start it with no connection it will be bypassed... and if you then enable your internet it won’t validate itself until you either restart the plug or your project... pretty lame.

Going wild and ducking once the dry signal comes back is kind of the whole point.. I really like big washy delays going into shimmery reverbs gently crossfading in & out with the dry signal. You got all of the drama and none of the mud.. you should try!

I wasn't going to try this, but then I noticed, "Pitch-shifting technology powered by Zynaptic". From my perspective, any plugin which has any Zynaptic technology under the hood is worth giving it a fair shake. I've downloaded the demo.

Can anybody verify if this is/is not the case with actual 'Full' (Purchased) version?

I haven't started the trial yet, but if full version were to rely on internet AFTER one-time product verifcation... that would certainly effect my evaluation for purchase :(

This is the only pertinent statement I saw in manual:

"Activating Spacer
When you load Spacer onto a track in your DAW for the first time, you will be prompted with a product verification screen. Enter the email address you used when you purchased the plugin,and the activation key that you received after your order was completed"

That's what I was thinking too!

I can verify the paid version does work fully as it should while offline, once the initial registration is completed when the plugin is opened for the first time after purchase.

I should add, the license key is the same before and after purchase (at least it was for me): when purchased they change the Trial license number to be the new Paid license number on their site. So the registration process must be done again. The only way I could find to do that in a way that worked was to uninstall the Trial and reinstall; it was the only way I could see to get the registration screen up again. There may be a simpler way, but I could not find one. Once that was done, no issues working offline.

I purchased it pretty quick. I had it on three tracks almost immediately, one send and two inserts, and did not want to do without it - Spacer - so: purchased.

Spacer is quite a creative inspiration, to me.

I think that will not work because each module is mixed in. So the plugin is designed to be an insert effect and you would duck the dry signal as well. Hence it's an absolutely valid point that a ducker is missing here (or at least it might be missing in some situations later on). Given the price point of $125 and that it's designed to be a flagship processor, it's a very good idea to ask if this could be added in one of the next updates.
I personally use ducking a lot and would buy Spacer in a heartbeat if this was added.
Maybe the attack/release controls could be global and placed in the top area as there is still space available besides the logo. And the ducking amount could be per module. So that you could e.g. duck the delay but keep a bit of constant reverb.

Also please I would die if one could choose between ducking input level, output level or decay/size/feedback

Bought after watching the tutorial... Sounds and looks great.

i bought their other product panc last week.
to demo you need to go online and then it will authenticate and then you can go off line. you will not be able to start a new project with the plugin unless you again go on line momentarily. but you can start up another instance in the original project.

once bought you need to authorise on line once and that is it. no need to go online again.

i can only assume this will be the same system for this new plug.

I agree ducking would speed up the workflow but It's easier to use on a send anyway as the global FX colour the entire signal, not just the reverbs/delays.

Spacer is designed as a processing chain with several modules which can be freely ordered (but they run in sequence).
As I told, it's an insert effect but let's make an example what happens if you use it as a send effect.
Imagine you use a delay first and run it at 100% wet (thats's a requirement when you want the whole plugin as a send) and place a reverb after the delay. That means no dry signal reaches the reverb. The reverb wouldn't even output anything at first because it can only process when the first delayed input signal arrives and the original sound that was played would not have any reverb applied (only the additional repeats created by the delay feedback path would have reverb).
So it's really a bad idea to use it as a send.

Regarding the utility module: Yes, some of the options there would be better suited for a send effect (like the aging effect) but the haas and the chorus can be used very well as an insert too. Sure, chorus is great to spice up reverb-wet but the Reverb and Grain Reverb modules already have their own Mod Depth and Mod Rate for a similar effect.

So, when you want to use ducking with this plugin it's infact not possible (except in very special situations that don't make much sense like e.g. when you are using only one module of it). Hence our request to the developers, please add an internal ducker!

As said I missed the global mix control so yes insert is kind of the easier way and ducking would be great indeed.
You can still do it though as long as there's one FX running full wet, not ideal for sure but to me it isn't the end of the world either :D still a lot of creative possibilities!

Yes, simple license key to paste into the plugin. No iLok.

You know what could also be cool? To be able to use the same module, up to six times. Say you want to use the Delay module, but one Delay module isn't cutting it for what you're after. You simply replace one of the unused modules (say the Reverb module) with a second Delay module, or you can replace them all with 5 more Delay modules.

Another thing that could be extremely cool, is the ability to route the modules in parallel as well instead of serial only, or any combination in between. Say the top three modules are routed in series and in the end they're only fed to the left channel and bottom three modules are only fed to the right channel. They can also crossfeed. Something like this:
