Yeah, the Bardstown Bosendorfer kills. I just used it on a tune for a record that was piano/vocal/cello only. I actually recorded some wild damper pedal samples to put in appropriatly for a little extra "realism"... you know, the "ffft ffft" sound we try to get rid of when recording the real thing.
And Kip (at Bardstown) is great... I called him to see if he'd recorded the pedal samples from the instrument he sampled... he thought I was funny for wanting to hear the pedal, and said no he hadn't. Too bad. Don't tell, but I'm using some badly recorded pedal samples I grabbed from a "famous" C7 in Malibu... so much for "realism". Sometime I want to do it right and do some velocity switching damper pedals attacks and releases...
