There seems to be a conflict with my Line 6 device and NVidia Drivers on my Macbook Pro. I want to run them under Windows in bootcamp (i prefer windows, but bought the mac to get the best of both worlds).

Basically the sound pops and crackles through the Line 6 USB external soundcard, until I uninstall the NVidia drivers. I've tried all the usual tricks such as an external powered USB hub and updating all line 6 drivers, in fact updating just about every driver and service pack etc possible before starting the install from scratch and realising the fundamental problem is the display driver.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I have been on the NVidia live chat to ask for advice, directed me to a site to download a differnet driver but I have not had any success with this. Right now it looks like the only option is to fore-go any display driver for my Windows partition!!! This is obviously not ideal.

Line 6 advices against any hubs and requires a direct connection. Did you try a different port?

Yes I did. I bought the hub after looking at a different forum somewhere when someone posted that they actually had success with external powered hub, because they assumed this 'kicked the macbooks USB ports into high-speed mode' - thought it was worth a shot at least, even if the logic is dubious (I'm not sure whether USB works this way).

This was before narrowing it down to the Nvidia graphics driver though.

I will continue working without the driver but it's just a tad annoying, so I was just wondering whether anyone had encountered this before and had a quick fix, or a different driver that didn't interfere with the audio so much.

NVidia thought it was a conflict with the HD Audio driver component of their driver bundle but it's definitely the actual graphics card driver itself.

It seems Line 6 themselves have had many a furious customer encountering problems with their drivers, especially with Windows 7. Their 'get-out clause' with me will be that they don't support bootcamp (as I've found out after buying my Macbook by reading their forums).

The Nidia graphic-driver causes DPC latencies. Which MBP is it (year)? I can tell you the workarounds to get it working then?
