I've been researching this interface, but there's one aspect I can't find an answer for regarding the routing matrix. I get that using the software routing matrix I can pretty much route any source to any destination. However, if say I route analog input 1, to analog output 8, is there an A/D then D/A conversion happening?

I see that outputs 3+4 on the front panel have a 'direct thru' option for 'zero latency'..., which makes me think that using the routing matrix, even when dealing with all analog connections will still introduce a conversion loop.

Any info on this would be very welcome! Thanks!!!
