I’m a music producer working with the Neumann MT48 on a daily basis, and while I love the unit, there’s one major limitation that’s really affecting my workflow.

I work in a 2.1 monitoring setup (stereo monitors + sub), and currently, the only way to implement crossover, sub delay, and proper 2.1 alignment is in the Monitor Mission mode. That’s great for mastering or post workflows — but as a producer who spends a full day switching between tracking, mixing, and editing, I rely heavily on the effects processing in Music Mission (EQ, compression, reverb, etc.).

The issue is that Music Mission doesn’t support proper 2.1 monitoring tools, which means I constantly have to switch back and forth between missions just to hear my mix in the intended monitoring environment. That’s super inefficient, especially when bouncing between a vocal take and a quick mix check every 30–60 minutes.

I’d love to see basic 2.1 monitoring support (crossover, delay, and routing) added to Music Mission mode. Even something as simple as allowing output 3 to serve as a sub out with delay compensation would be a huge help.

If other MT48 users are experiencing similar frustrations, let’s raise this together. It’s an incredible interface — this would make it even more versatile for modern production workflows.
