Favourite Kick/Bass seperation/ducking plugin

Hey guys!
I always fight with bass guitars and kick drums being in the same place in the mix (i mostly mix real instruments, no samples). I still use Trackspacer but i am not 100% happy with it, and it also uses quite some CPU. The benefit is that it uses mid/side, which is super cool and handy.
Do you know of any other flexible seperation plugins? I tried Soothe but was not happy with the outcome at all.
Mid/side would be great as well as attaack/release variables, if possible.

Waves has Bass Rider which works well. Slate Digita has Submerge which is also quite good.

All "auto-ducking" plugs work the same way..they sync to your project tempo and simply duck the level on the downbeat, you choose whether to duck it on quarter notes, whole notes, half-notes, or eigth notes.

There is also Fuser by Mastering the Mix, Duck by Devious Machines, and Fabfilter Pro Q-4 (although this is far more than just a ducker, and is overkill if that's all you need).

There might be a misunderstanding. I'm looking for a sidechain compression/unmasking of the kick drum in the bass guitar channel. It has nothing to do with synced auto-ducking.

ShaperBox kickstart2. It will make a perfect hole for the kick to poke through, if that's what you want. Are you working with the attack and release settings on Trackspacer? When I just want subtle ducking, it works perfect. Especially for clearing out a little space in the middle for a vocal.

I tried TrackSpacer, KickStart, Fuser, SmartComp, Pro-MB (low band only) but EQ carving is still the best IMO.

Very interesting suggestions, thanks for the inputs. Wasnt aware of Kickstart and Fuser, will take a closer look into it.
But in the meantime i found Pro-Q4 quite usable for this task actually. In Spectral mode and sidechaining it can duck the frequencies (M/S or Stereo) of whatever band i chose with variable attack and release times. Its quite flexible, love it!

DMG Multiplicity is incredible for this task. You can make it duck only the specific fundamental, or the whole signal, and have the band that is doing the compression/ducking listen to any part of the incoming signal or the whole thing. It's super deep. With lookahead and total transparency.
