Just wondering if anyone was able to use the Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt with Mac Sequoia, and how did you do it? Thanks in advance!

Can't speak for the Apogee, but I have successfully got the Quantum interface, which uses Thunderbolt 2, to work in Sequoia.

There was a major interface change between Thunderbolt 2 to 3. I used a StarTech Thunderbolt 2 to 3 adapter to do the conversion. It's not the cheapest, but has an earned reputation for compatibility. It still is compatible with Thunderbolt 5 on my new Mini Pro with Sequoia, and has been rock solid.

I recently installed the Apogee Control software/drivers to my M2 MacBook Air running Sequoia. I've not had any problems but I found out after the fact and after I ordered a new M4 Mac Mini that Apogee recommends not upgrading to Sequoia at this time although the problem seems to be upgrading the OS versus those with fresh OS installs. I can't find the posts that were more expansive than what is on Apogee's website but it was do not install any Sequoia updates as your Ensemble/Element as kernel support might drop in future versions of Sequoia and planned to be dropped on the next OS after Sequoia. Crazy. I love these interfaces.

I am using latest control software with macOS 15.2 and it is working fine. I didn’t do a fresh install. Sequoia does reset your finder settings so you have to change them to what they were before the update. This Apogee Ensemble TB is now 10 years old. It still irks me that they haven’t replaced it.

Glad to hear the Ensemble works with Sequoia 15.2. I bought an M4 Mac Mini and been using my Element 88 with 15.1.1 with no issues. Was waiting to for someone else to take the plunge on updating to 15.2.

Has anyone found anything from Apogee on this that they can link to? All I can find is this page (https://knowledge.apogeedigital.com/...rrent-products) which just says they haven't finished testing. Was about to upgrade to Sequoia but saw this post and decided to hold off. I'm glad it's currently working for folks but I don't want to upgrade and have to choose between continuing to receive security updates or continuing Apogee Element thunderbolt functionality.

And, the note on the legacy installers page for the Ensemble/Element states: "**Known-Issue: Combining units in Multi-Unit mode does not work with the latest macOS 15 Sequoia version."

It appears that you are good unless you want to run Multi-Unit mode.

Has anyone installed Mac OS 15.3? I'm running 15.1.1 and getting very stable performance with my Element 88 on my main rig and Element 46 on my portable rig.

Has anyone tried the Ensemble/Element with Sequoia 15.4?
