I'm sampling and collecting some synth's raw waveforms and I'm looking for a software sampler to use them.

the audio path should be like OSC1 and/or OSC2 => mixer => filter (envelope) => amp (envelope)

Instead of OSC1 and OSC2, it would be samples of raw waveforms sampled in 5 octaves.

I thought that maybe Kontakt can do the job, but I'm confused by the audio path shown in their manual : https://www.native-instruments.com/f...1-f4e6c9290416

It seems like you cannot combine different sources in a group nor you cannot disassociate the amplifier from its source.

Can I actually expect a software sampler (MacFive, Halion, SampleTank, Ableton Sampler...) to have the same signal path as a 2 oscillators synth ?

After some research, the concept of what I'm hoping for is very close to Tal-Sampler with its 4 layers. The only thing Tal-Sampler is missing is the possibility to load more than one sample per layer.

Honestly I dunno if such a thing even exists or is technically possible.

TAL is pretty awesome though, I use it when I need some of that old Akai style pitch shifting..

You need to take another look at the Kontakt routing document. Halion and Falcon are pretty much the same: they have multiple layers so you can choose where to put the filters and amps. It’s just not set up by default to have the synth layout you expect. For your case, you just need to work at what amounts to the bus level in Kontakt.

EDIT: I'm assuming you already have Kontakt, otherwise you are going to find life easier in some other samplers. New Sonic Arts Nuance is a reasonable mix of multi-sampling ability and easy routing.

Cwitec's TX16Wx is more complex to deal with but the basic version is free.

It seems like Halion can do it : layers of multisamples within the main instrument, you can fine tune them like an individual oscillator whilst the main instrument keeps the control of the filter and the ADSRs.
