best AI tool to reduce spill in live recordiing

I'm mixing an live album, it has horns and a live string section - they're wanting the overal sound to be fairly dry, but the string mics in particular are almost a 50/50 split between the strings and basically a drum room mic..!

I'm thinking there might be some good 'ai' options to help with this but I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to ai.

ideally there'd be an 'ai' plugin I can use in the DAW but also there's the option of using a website, just not sure which are the best.

Time to retrack the strings in the studio.

Next time consider the MD441 for the live recording too. Or a figure-8 with the drums in the null.

You can try many, izotope rx, spectralayer, Moises or Lalala.ai, or something. They are getting better each new iteration

If drums were bleeding into section mics, it is possible to drag a stereo mix of the tune into Spectralayers 11 and use "unmix song" to get separate stems of drums and the brass and strings (sorry, SL 11 would not be able to separate the brass and strings into separate stems, trust me).

There are many stem separation programs - spectralyers is excellent. You could try doing what Dave said and then add that track into the mix flipping the phase…pulling it up just enough until you start to hear artifacts. I’d you want to make the recording drier there are several plugins by Acon an Rx and others for removing reverb - but again you have e to be careful of artifacts. The best is always to record with the proper mic setup and using gobos as necessary.
