Low latency tiny interface?

Hi all. Any options for people that have a larger interface for the studio and just need something without inputs and just stellar latency for playback?

Think just playing softsynths at low latency.

No market for it?

Anything RME with good ASIO drivers. But your computer specs are equally important if you want low latency.

Most audio interfaces come with ASIO drivers that provide low latency. It all depends on your buffer setting plus having good DPC latency so you can use low buffer sizes in the first place without audio glitches.

Babyface is small but I'm looking for something that would easily fit in a small laptop bag, doesn't even need to have inputs at all.

It's surprising nobody's making just DACs that have solid ASIO drivers.

RME Digiface is smaller and lighter (and cheaper) than a Babyface, has a 6.3mm headphone out.

RME ADI-2 DAC FS is literally just that, a super hi quality DAC (no inputs) with ASIO drivers. But its priced as such.

The DigiFace suggestion is also good for decent drivers and no preamps. It only has optical i/o except for the headphones.

Honestly the only stuff that's gonna get that small *with* a dedicated ASIO driver, is gonna be stuff like the ik multimedia iRig line. All those portable DAC solutions are all UAC (USB audio control) to make them plug and play class compliant, because with just playback, low latency is not as important.

I don't think there's anything quite like what you're looking for, to the best of my knowledge anyway.

Roland UA-Mobile is another one - Latency is not RME low but it's OK.
The DAC and headphone amp sound really good.

At least some of those Chinese hi-fi companies make them. I'm thinking of brands such as Topping and Meizu.
From what I've seen the ASIO driver is a generic Thesycon one, which is not the best, but it's not terrible either.

This one sells for incredibly low prices nowadays but no M1 silicon drivers in sight.
Win 10/11 are available.

SMSL iDEA (@amirm 's review: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/f...ack-dacs.2397/). Weighs nothing, goes loud as hell and is decently clean. There's also an ASIO driver, I think from XMOS or something.

For completeness - the RME Digiface USB is the winner.

Very small, legendary quality and latency plus it can be useful for other things with the right ADAT gear.
