I've had my Profire 2626 for 10 years, been rock solid. However on very rare occasions it has lost sync on the firewire connection. It's always recovered OK but I'm thinking about upgrading just in case, and I've had a good run.

I need 8 mic pres to record drums. I know there's a ton of 8-channel interfaces out there but I've got a UA 4-710D which has 4 pres, so I just need a unit with another 4, and ADAT connectivity.

Must be firewire or USB2 and rackmountable. I'm still running a disconnected DAW on windows XP so no thunderbolt. I realise this cuts down the options but interested in any suggestions.....
