Chris Ludwig provided exceptional support for a very complex configuration issue this week. I purchased two DAWs from ADK over the years but my next one will be built by Chris at Fundamental AV.

I was a loyal ADK client through 4 audio desktop and laptop computer purchases over many years. Their dedication to quality and service model was the standard by which I judged every company in the audio industry that I've ever dealt with, and that is in no small part because of Chris Ludwig. I and several colleagues were crestfallen when ADK announced their demise. So I can't tell you how chuffed I was to get the "here I am" email from Chris. Welcome back Chris and I look forward to my future dealings with Fundamental AV.

Hey Guys to be clear ADK has gone no where. we are still here after 21 yrs.
as stated in another thread:
the physical move out of state was vastly more daunting than expected.
we were down for 4 weeks without a phone and emails were very slowly answered.
some of the employees who were supposed to assist during the transition were not doing so well with that.

we were back up and running soon after.
Eric and Chris were still doing support from their respective states. (Chris had been in CT for the last 6 yrs or so, he missed the food and nightlife of NY)
for a short time i sent Audio sales over to Chris as i simply couldn't handle all the builds by myself until i could get staffed.
Chris then decided to go on his own and i congratulate him on that. after 12-13 yrs working for me it was time.

Eric is still with us as support for both audio and video.
on rare occasions we need to consult with Chris.

How is the after sales service on ADK? FundamentalAV?

I bought an ADK computer in 2014, absolutely love it, but it's time to replace it. One thing I loved was the after sales service the old ADK gave - Chris Ludwig and Dave Bond there walked me through, in real time on the phone, things like upgrading from W7 to W10, changing out my hard drives to SSDs, upgrading my memory, etc.

They also made sure all the programs and plug ins were transferred over from my prior Carillon music computer to the new ADK one.

Chris is at fundamentalAV now (don't know about Dave). I just checked and the last FB post on fundamental AV was over 2 years ago.

Any recent experiences?

I haven't been able to get a response from Chris Ludwig either, by email or within his portal.

I wonder if it's a minefield out there in the land of pre-built audio computers in the USA.

Long time customer here. Got a new comp last month. He had a health scare but recovered. Hope he's still on the mend!
