I think they are quite close, Audient is a bit superior in RTL and probably sound quality but not much difference. I think it more comes down to price and features/form factor. Clarett more traditional rack type form factor vs audient desktop interface. And clarett having more analogue inputs, midi and rca spdif vs id44 inserts, much more adat and word clock

Julian Krause on youtube goes over specs in his videos and has done recent videos on Clarett+ and id44 mkii. He has comparison charts to compare too

I wouldn't still assume that Audient is better in RTL. Maybe. But it's not like Focusrite hasn't released multiple drivers or provided the means to eliminate the added buffer they include by default (at your own risk). This driver change is somewhat recent, so if any videos are 6+ months old, or aren't thorough, then they won't include that.

I am just going off the numbers, I mean the RTL on the clarett is fine. I have been using the 4Pre and just got the clarett+ 4pre (warranty replacement, scratchy volume knob on the original) and it has super low latency, enough to play guitar and be barely noticeable, especially with studio one’s ‘z’ low latency mode. Obviously not as direct as playing through an amp & cab but it’s pretty close

Are you on mac or pc? I heard pc numbers are better. I'm on mac and I was relying on Julian Krause reviews but he's on windows. So if you're on mac (or any other), could you please tell me the Clarett+ RTL at 48Khz 64 bits? Or if anyone know the numbers for the iD44, that would be fine!
