FACTORY RESET and RESTARTING EVERYTHING SEEMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM - not sure why though.


I just got my Zen Tour and Antelope support is closed for the week-end and I don't understand how to use the Zen Tour. The manual just points out what the buttons do but not how to use the device.

I have been on their site and I can't find anything useful there. The videos aren't helpful either. I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.

It's already activated and the Zen Tour Launcher application updated the firmware. I have the Zen Tour Launcher running. I've watched the Routing video.

I want to record a mic and a guitar and I'm having trouble understanding how to set this up. Even just to monitor it through the device itself not even to the DAW yet. I have some audio but it is low and sound crappy. I have to turn the volume up to the maximum to hear anything. I'm pretty sure this shouldn't be the case. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'm more inclined to believe it is user error.

Any body know where there is actual helpful documentation or videos on how to use this device? I am astounded at the lack of help you can get from their manual and website.

If anyone is able and willing I'm listening.

I am in the same boat- just got this 2 days ago and so far have the following issues:

1-manual is useless;

2-tutorials on Antelope website do not cover the Zen Tour

3-when connected but powered off - slows my internet speed to a crawl (have to have it plugged in and powered on OR powered off and disconnected from computer in order to have my normal internet speed)

4-using it for all sound on my computer - opened the control panel, tried to learn how to use the routing and finally got a guitar sound from my studio monitors - closed the control panel (did not save what I had done) and then, no more sound from the computer to the studio monitors -- eventually had to uninstall driver, reset audio settings and do a factory reset on the Zen Tour before I could once again get sound from my computer

5-now, every time I open the control panel, it shows me what I was last doing - which was just me trying to learn and god knows what i routed or didn't route -- clicked on Open a new panel - and it just opened another panel with the last settings (which I never saved) showing again -- How do I just clear everything I did on the control panel and start fresh?

I have since figured out the routing, but I don't record all of the time so it is a little learning curve each time I go to record.

I also went from using USB to Thunderbolt and each has their own routing. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't hear anything after moving to Thunderbolt.

I watched the routing video over and over and over and over and over until I figured it out.

Most of what I don't understand I've been able to search the internet to find. Sometimes the answer came from Antelope and sometimes it didn't.

Overall I am still happy I purchased the ZenTour and find it unlikely I will ever need anything extra in my home studio.
