Hello, I am new to this forum, and here to ask a question.

I have just installed windows 8.1 on my pc.

I am trying to get the above soundcard working again (Previously working fine with windows 7), but I cannot find the drivers for this anywhere.

Does anybody have them, or know where I can obtain them. All my google searches point me to'driver update tools' that want money ect, or other general junkware.

Please help!

Vista/XP seems to be the last driver for it. If it worked under Win7 it might work well under Win8. However, usually one should verify compatibility of all soft- and hardware before updating the OS...

I managed to get it working on Windows 10 64 bit

The last updated Windows and macOS drivers as well as manuals and other data are available from Terratecs own source here - http://terratec.ultron.info/Producer...SEX24FireWire/

Though there are also other sites that host the Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 Drivers

For anyone wondering, you will need to install dotNET 3.5 from Control Panel > Programs & Features > Turn Windows Features on and off.

Once that is done, turn off driver signature verification enforcement on Windows 8 or 10 (see here - https://pureinfotech.com/disable-dri...nt-windows-10/) and you will be able to install the driver/control panel for the Terratec Phase X24. Then restart and it should work

If that still doesnt work, I found that doing the above, which will install the control panel, then installing this different driver found here - https://www.driverscape.com/download/phase-x24-fw - by extracting it, then right clicking the .inf file and selecting 'Install', then restarting again, might make it show up.

I only needed to do this once since I just wanted to set up routing to use the device as a standalone AD/DA over optical, but I assume it would work for long term use too

it finally worked after having installed MS FW legacy driver and choosing Terratec/Phase X24 in 61883 devices.

I did ALL the steps suggested in this thread to install under Win 10.

Device shows up in device manager under 61883 devices. System says it's properly installed. But it does not show up under sound audio device.

Also what does "'choose' the device mean?
The soundcard does not show up under 'Chose output device'

Could it be ASIO drivers on top of everything? Or anything else that I might have missed ?

Hello there, sorry for having been unclear. But by "choose" , I mean: when the device manager shows 2 Phase X24 entries that do not have drivers, you have to manually select each of them and install them as a 61883 device. If you have performed all steps described above, the option Phase X24 appears when you try to install them as 61883 devices. On my device manager, the Phase X24 then appears in both 61883 devices and sound audio devices. From now on, the Terratec ASIO driver can be set from my DAW. It may be used from Cubase and Windows (but not at the same time of course). I note that sometimes the audio disappears and I have to unplug/plug again the Phase X24 power chord to make the sound appear again.
For your system, if the Phase X24 appear in 61883 devices, I think you have done previous steps well, it maybe usable from your own DAW?
