Matters what audience you are going for. Some of those kids are agist (prejudice against older people)

Two ways to look at it...

1) Blind optimism. Name the few people over 40 who started over 40 and had decent pop careers. (No names come to mind).

2) Reality. Crunch the numbers of the percentage of people over 40 compared to the people under 40 who landed substantial deals and had careers.

Reality sucks. Blind optimism is the only way to go with this.
