I updated to Mac OS Monterey 12.3.1 this morning, then downloaded and installed UAD v.10 software. The result - 60 UA plugins passed DP's AU examination..270 failed AU examination. That is a disaster for music production by any measure.

I ran UA's Uninstaller to delete v. 10 from my Mac, restarted my Mac, downloaded UAD v. 9.15.1 and installed that, and every UAD plugin passed DP's AU validation.

Btw, to find older versions of UAD software, you have to do an internet search which will take you to the legacy versions page on UA's website.

If you are a Digital Performer user, my advice at this time is do not install UAD software v.10.

Bump - update. I sent a support ticket to UA.
They replied that they have received numerous reports from Digital Performer users that UAD v. 10 is causing problems with UAD plugins failing validation, and their recommendation is for Digital Performer users to remain at UAD v. 9.15 until UA announces a fix.

no such problems here with DP 11.04 and UAD 10. I have about 90 plugins in my UAD system and I just reexamined all of them in DP prefs and they all passed just fine. I also have the UADx versions from Spark. Everything loads in and works just fine. As a workaround, try booting DP in Rosetta mode and reexamining them there maybe?


edit- DP still has problems passing some AS plugins, I suspect thats the cause, but weird that its all working good for me.

You're lucky. Good to hear it is working for you.

I own every plugin UA makes, which is considerably more than 90 - so maybe yours just "happened" to pass inspection. Or it could be specific to my system...although I'm not the only DP user reporting this issue to UA.

In any event, I am able to continue working with UAD 9.15. I have no interest in UA Spark, UA connect, whatever. So the only thing I'm missing is the Retina graphics re-work and new mix knob for the Teletronix LA-2A
