Trying to figure out how this works importing an aaf from pro tools to dp. Anyone had any luck with aaf imports?

I do it couple of time (AAF ? OMF ?), but long time ago...
no major issue IIRC, except to be careful with overlaying soundbite, as layers structure get lost (one sound in front can go to the back) maybe this is not true anymore, can't say.
Now, when requested, I prefer consolidate/merged files... which i not that more space consuming for music production and have the benefit to print fade/crossfade.
But I suppose if you work for film with 300+ track, 120 min, this is not an option... a 2 min track with it's own time code is way smaller than 120min with shared time start.
