I have the CAD M179 and it works well for my voice and recording acoustic guitar. Will the AKG C 535 EB be a good compliment to that for the same purposes or will they be too similar despite being a LDC and SDC?

I'm thinking maybe for dual-mic'ing the acoustic guitar (neck and bridge), or for mic-ing the vocals with the AKG and guitar with the CAD if I play them at the same time.

Or, would I be better off saving up for the TLM 102 or KMS 105?

Ideally I'd get something like, believe it or not, an SM58 or SM57 intead to go along with either of those two condensors. the 535 is awesome. so is the 179. the are, in theory, very different. But overall, they are both kind of general use mics, despite size and 179 being multipattern.

a true vocal mic and amplified-instrument mic like an sm58 or sm57 woudl be great. If you have a preamp with lots of gain, at least. I personally use my SM58 for all kinds of things, and I have a lot of more expensive mics available. I also often prefer to record my vocals on a 58, even in the studio, for my own voice.
