The new Roland Rubix or the Steinberg UR?
Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy a small 2-in/1or2-out audio interface. I recently purchased the M-Audio M-Track 2x2, I was lured in by USB-C but overall I'm not loving the interface.. It's great for the price just latency isn't the best and I was shocked by the size of it. I'm generally on the move so I need something small and compact.. it's massively oversized I feel like they could have made a much smaller unit with a better design as a result it feels quite cheap and hollow.
Anyway.. I've been looking at Focusrite Saffire units...these are very small, probably Solo or 2i2 but after reading lots of reviews I'm now on the fence. Apparently the latency is rubbish?
My only requirements are high quality headphone out, low latency and small-compact unit.
After a lot of looking around I've narrowed it down to several units.
Steinberg UR22, NI Komplete Audio 6 or the new Roland Rubix 22.
The NI is definitely the bigger of the units but comes in at a nice price extra inputs and lots of cool software additions. Would This be the way to go? .. Assuming it's overkill for my needs it's down to
Steinberg UR22 MKII or the new Roland Rubix 22.
Should I take a gamble on the Roland or will the Steinberg be a better bet?
Or should I be taking a look at something else? The price of the NI is about as high as I'm willing to go, so around Β£150.
Thanks
