Not sure how many of you guys have been dealing with VK for a while, but their credit system was always great. Super high interest rates, but they used to put a hold on the deposit amount until the item was actually delivered, pre-orders included, with no payment required until the product delivered, and the no-interest rate period starting upon delivery. NOW, your introductory interest free period starts as soon as you place a deposit on an item, even with a long lead time, and you must start making a minimum payment on the deposit the month you are charged for it.

The craziest part? They didn’t even send an email out notifying anyone of these changes. Some of you on here probably have deposits down on items through your VK card and don’t even know you owe a payment now (as I did). What a money grab. I wouldn’t doubt I’ve done close to 6 figures with them in the past, and not even the decency to let us know they are changing payment terms. It’s been almost 2 weeks since this happened. Hopefully everyone on here (if any) haven’t missed a payment because of this.

Do you have a VK rep you’ve dealt with in the past? Give them a call and talk to a person about it for sure. That seems kind of crappy, and hasn’t happened to me before. Things change though, thanks for the heads up!

May have to do with the fact that most manufacturers demand full payment upfront at the moment, when a shop orders from them, even when they have to still actually make the product.
