i thought it would be awhile before the next post .. i went back into Mixbus, session still open .. i name two tracks .. track 1 and track 2 .. i then decide i would like 4 more tracks .. i choose to add 4and CRASH !!! mixbus not responding in Force Quit !!! goodnight

well, OCt 10, 2020 .. NOT SO GOOD ...

i open Harrison Mixbus and it will NOT Play ...until i record something the PLayhead would not move ... Thats NEw to me .. any other DAW will play so you can hear a click to even think about BEING CREATIVE !!! yes i am mad ... haha

so then, playhead moving good, then i decide to change the start and end / Location Markers ... well the start and end at lock together so if i move start end move, move end then start moves ... so i am stuck with 4 bars to record into before it stops, loops or i just decide i am done with this behavior ...

REstarts, no help ... quirky man .. mixbus 6.1.22 on macbook pro 2014 Mojave latest ver 10.14.6

USING ANOTHER PROGRAM TODAY !!! not spending entire day digging through manual (already just spent 30 min and No Info on how to change Start End markers, just create from Range ... not simple guys) ... maybe this is easy to someone else ... fine, BUT BUT this needs to work for Everyone !! ... i really would like this to work ... i WANT a DAW that is just like this that Works when I want to Work/be creative ... this is For MY Record, MY Project ... so i will can some grief to get there but has to work 99% of the time !!!

i will come back after i can dig into this more ...

NEXT: Stacks ... this like Comping ??? if so, editing stacks comes up with nothing in the manual .. called something else maybe .. as you select you are selecting across all takes in the stack ... i thought Reaper blew my head up !!! hahah ...

BTW: yes, i started trying and buying Mixbus since v1.1 .. 2010 .... so i think it is ok for me to bitch a little !!!

1) i record a take, loop mode on, as i start the second take al the other trackjs STOP playing, and the AUDIO moved a couple bars down the Road ... WTF man .. inknow being a past beta tester for software that this would never make it out the door .. i hope v6 was not rushed .. but 6.1.22 is this the latest or an update to v6 ??????

2) not to mention the CLICK is not playing in the PRE-RoLL .. that works NEVER for overdubs ... that just shut me down as i was trying to overdub !!! ahhhhh

3) this is pretty frustrating coming from Pro Tools and Logic .. i am trying to Sell a friend that NEEDs a recorder and a Mixer .. this should be perfect but if I (someone that teaches others through the roughs bits of getting started with a DAW) is having issues.. well, enough said ... man, this should be EASY to do simple things ...

learning the very hard way !!! i want this to work badly !!! i hate some other DAW's and need to find a good workflow .... so far not so good

and YES, i will go to the Harrison Forum for help !!! badly needed help ... goodnight

consolidating a few Regions together FOUND IT ..

bounce without processing not working at all in 6.1.22 - still working on this !!!

Hi, Conslidate in the Manual .. page 380 .. select range, right click and choose Consolidate ..

OK, understanding more now .. you have to have the Range Tool Selected before Consolidate shows up in right click menu ..

New Q: i would like to Click in the Editor Window and have the PLayhead go directlythere, instead of hitting the "P" key to Play from Edit Point ... does anyone know what to call that ???

NEXT: you highlight a portion in the edit window with Range Tool (using smart tool) and then hitting the "P" key goes to the End of the Region NOT the beginning for playback ... maybe a Preference or ???
