The Peavey USB-P is one of the simplest units out there as it gives you stereo outs from your Mac (or for PC users) and has a true mono merge switch if they only have one input. This bypasses your headphone output and is generally the way to go.
Yayyy!! One of my concerns was just addressed and my assumption was correct,...use a DI box! I figured that buying an 8 channel DI box, the Behringer DI8000, was a wise decision for at minimum, to reduce noise within my system.
