Olympus Micro Choir is the official introductory pack to our mighty Olympus Symphonic Choral Collection, but it goes much further than that. This light-weight, user-friendly choir instrument stands alone as the perfect tool for musicians who just need a basic choir in their mix, without all the fuss. Divided into matching men's and women's divisi sections, Olympus Micro includes a classic set of great-sounding 'Ah' and 'Oo' vowel sustains, with both natural and smooth "pad" modes. It also offers a pair of synchronized Latin and Russian sustaining words (called "polysustains"), as well as 'Ah' and 'Oo' staccato syllables.
Featuring content from our acclaimed Olympus Symphonic Choir Collection, this choir was recorded in a large, natural hall with 63 hand-picked singers from SF Choral Society, Volti, SF Opera and the SF Symphony Chorus, conducted by maestro Robert Geary. The massive Olympus Choral Collection was designed for professionals in mind, with over 44 GB of content, over 40,000 samples and hundreds of distinct articulations to provide a total scoring solution ideal for any professional composer. We know how daunting such a huge collection can be and the significant investment it represents, so we designed this Micro pack as a fully functional and playable kit to offer just a taste of the enormous possibilities that our full Olympus Collection offers. Yet it can also simply serve as an great-sounding basic stand-alone choir instrument for anybody that just needs a basic full, warm choral sound with a world-class sonic richness and fidelity. Whether you're curious about our Olympus Symphonic Choir, or you're new to virtual choirs, Olympus Micro is the perfect low cost and easy way to begin your journey.
This library now supports 3 formats: Kontakt, Reason and the open source sfz format to make it accessible to everyone. While the primary features and content in this library are optimized for the standard Kontakt platform, the same great sound and core capabilities are available for both Reason and SFZ. All three formats offer real-time control over dynamic intensity, room/release time, dynamic volume control, syllable/word/vowel switching and more. With our full automation support, you can create entirely new phonetic combinations and syllable sequences. That means you can get as creative and complex with your arrangements as you like.
About Kontakt Format
Please Note: The Kontakt 5 presets in this library are designed for the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 5.1 or later. Owners of Kontakt 4 (version 4.2.4) can still use the Kontakt 4 presets we've included in this library, but they lack some tempo-synching, time-stretching and other newer engine features. Kontakt is an industry-standard advanced virtual instrument / software sampler platform. Learn more about Kontakt by Clicking Here
This is a standard Kontakt open-format library, so the free Kontakt Player doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library. The special Libraries tab doesn't support this open-format Kontakt library, but you can use the standard File browser tab, or import this library into the Kontakt database and Quickload tools for easy navigation, loading and organization. However, the sample directories are fully accessible to allow user customization, import and mapping into other wav-compatible software, sampler and synth formats. Check out screenshots of our custom graphical user interface for Kontakt in the image gallery above. They provide a wide range of sound shaping parameter controls, each one totally automation-ready in your host environment or Kontakt's stand-alone mode.

About Reason ReFil Format
The ReFill portion of this library is designed for the full retail version of Reason 6.0.2 or later. We’ve included 22 Combinator and 22 NN-XT presets in the ReFill package, featuring custom front panel user interface controls and artwork. These NN-XT and Combinator presets have been optimized for performance on 32 bit systems, with 16 bit sample data and a slightly reduced soundset to allow for lower memory usage. The sample directories are also fully accessible to allow user customization, import and mapping into other wav-compatible software, sampler and synth formats.
In adapting Olympus Micro to Reason’s ReFill format, we created a core selection of 10 Combinator patches. Each Combinator features divisi men’s and women’s sections with articulation switching and adjustable note attack, release, pad mode, panning and independent gender volume controls. You’ll also find a selection of 12 special FX Combinator presets that use many of Reason’s built-in effects to create a variety of unique soundscapes and ambient pad instruments.
