Solaris Quantum D/A Converter

I am trying to decide between the Dangerous Convert-2 and the Crane Song Solaris. I see lately that the Dangerous Convert-2 is getting a lot of great reviews and the Crane Song Solaris (and Avocet IIA which uses the same converter) is getting some compliments also. Has anybody heard or compared both of these converters?...

I’ve always just fed my 8C’s a digital AES signal. It never made sense to me to use analog since the signal was going to be immediately converted to digital in the speaker anyway. Either way it’s going back through the speaker’s DA converter, so sending it a digital signal is eliminating one conversion step....
