No idea truthfully but apart from being a very solid eq...the green had a great input and output gain stage. You could drive up the input to crunch and saturate and 'glue' and then bring down the output to a nice clean level for the desk or the other way for sweet eq'ing and...
This has been discussed a lot and clarified by SSL, they did not try to model the hardware, they tried to create a digital EQ that satisfied their design aesthetic. Also, the Softube 9000 is the G EQ, and the G EQ does have some proportional Q characteristics.
