...you are. Regarding mics I prefer all my current mics to the NT-1a. My current LDC's are :- Vanguard V13, Shure KSM32, JZ V11, Audio Technica AT4040 and Miktek MK-300. None of these sound as brittle and bright as the NT-1a. They all do have their own sound though. My most used mic is the Vanguard V13...
