Best alternative to NI's 'Battery 4'?

Hi. I use NI's Battery 4 a lot but it has a lot of bugs and restrictions, such as not being able to simply change a cell to play as mono or global pitch etc etc. Ableton's Drum Rack is even more limited and MPC by Akai is badly designed. Any alternatives?

It is sad to see how NI devaluated its brand with their stubborn tiny non GUI updates and overdosing the samplepacks. I will not ever buy something from them again. And I have the collectors 11 edition and had all the different maschine HW versions since 1.0.

Does the Octatrack really sound so flat?

...are not as many real DJs out there who actually mix in the old way. When you export the samples from Battery 4 (NI) or zoom in, you will find that a lot of samples will have a gap at the beginning, because they were not properly prepared, that can destroy the groove and reduce...
