Description

64 voice polyphonic sampler upgradable to 128 notes. 16 part multitimbral. The synthesis type is Digital with Z-Plane filters. The sampler memory can be upgraded from 4 Mb to 64 Mb on regular SIMMs. Sampling rates can vary from 11KHz to 48KHz. It has a SCSI interface for connecting harddrives, zipdrives etc. It has a full MIDI specification that can be upgraded wht another MIDI input. It has 8 outputs, a headphones out and two audio inputs. There's a AES digital i/o upgrade option. The built in sequener is quite basic. It holds up to 90000 notes but can be upgraded to full E4 specification (400000 notes), this memory is shared with presets.

...sample libraries are actually really good. the sampler is also really good at transforming them into your own patches. the e6400 ultra OS supports wav files. you can get a SCSI2SD for it and put your samples on that and it can read them so long as you are on the correct sample rate/bit...
