Very good writeup, Hrast. Of course, you're correct. And yes, the formant filter in K5k is pretty much the same as filters in NI Razor - they influence the oscillators generating harmonics directly, rather than being a DSP effect in and of itself.

(serban mixed of course) thanks for the kind words! you're right about the layers...8 total...synth wise, a mix of NI Razor, Nexus, Genesis and probably some other things....the good stuff that i think REALLY added depth and texture to the stabs are the guitars...mainly the slightly time stretched acoustic guitar hits. i recorded...
...which is just samples. Alfa Forver(No idea) Most people that use Serum use other synths like Phaseplant, Current, or Vital. Even NI Razor, but noone uses that anymore. If your chasing the best all the time, have fun, but most people that make bass music use Vital, Massive(Not X), Current and Phaseplant. Pigments slides in...
