The JD-800 is a highly programmable synth from the early nineties, with a sound engine based on combinations of internal ROM based waveforms as raw material into a sound engine. The sounds are based on Roland's D-50, but updated for the nineties with multimode filters.
The synth is 24 voice polyphonic, and 6 part multitimbral. It has a 61 key keyboard with velocity and aftertouch. It has full MIDI specifications accessable on the in, our and thru connectors.
The JD-800 was built with a tough metal case capped off on the sides with large plastic covers.
