I produce music and record pianos with my Roland Fp-10 88 weighted keys controller.
I use Pianoteq 8, but i wish to offer my clients a real piano recording by transforming my midi piano tracks into a real recording made remotely using disklavier, mostly because i can edit my playing on my DAW and then have it reproduce by a Yamaha C7 or something recorded in a great studio.
Anyone does it? I have been very curious about this and never heard of someone doing it.
Thanks to everyone in this forum from which i learn lots.
Lance Powell, Woodshed Studios, Malibu have it and do it... (I mean, you can probably book the studio and engineer and they will play your file on their Disklavier equipped piano and record it... You would probably also have to pay for the tuner/piano technician... otherwise your Pianoteq8 version would be much better...)
I am not aware of any service that keeps a well tuned piano and routinely just plays MIDI file over a disklavier piano. Maybe an interesting business opportunity... maybe one of the "access analog" services might expand their offerings..
But if the client has the budget - I guess you can book Woodshed.
