I'm looking to get a graded hammer action piano / controller. Short list is:

Roland A88 Mk2
Nord Piano 5
Roland RD2000

I own Keyscape but more piano sounds are welcome which is why the Nord is on the list. I've tried all 3 and happy with the action and I prefer the RD2000 the most, however I really dislike the modelled sounds and so its alot of money to spend just for the keybed.

Nord seems the best but it is alot of money and I won't go gigging.

Am I missing any other options like some other VSTs + the A88? The Nord Piano 5 is the top of my budget.

The best action out there bar none.

I've never played them, but I've only ever heard fantastic things about those Kawai controllers. Seems like they got those very right!

I'm also a fan of the Roland RD series, and I would actually put the RD2000 just about on par with the Nord Piano, if not higher, since it has a bigger variety of top-quality sounds beyond acoustic and electric pianos. That would be a great way to go.

I'm a professional pianist/keyboardist and I'm honestly still very happy with my venerable Yamaha P85. It's not graded but I love how it feels, I've had it forever and probably won't replace it anytime soon! Got it for $200 on Craigslist ages ago.
