Nope, sorry, only about to try it out myself. I think his PatchBase editor is a sort of taster for the £30 PatchTouch version unless I misunderstand.

Funny you mention the FB-01.
I had two I no longer used.
I tried selling them for $25 a piece and no takers!
I ended up giving them away to my brother as well as a D-110 and a SPX-50!

Nice one. That thing is Sega on acid. Must get that iPad editor going. Been dreaming of an editor with random features to kick off patches and aid my super limited fm knowledge reaching to intereting places.

Don't know of any ipad editor. I used this one

Had to connect the FB-01 directly to the Midi interface to make it work but it worked fine.
4 OP FM is fairly easy to grok. Look at the screenshots of that editor and you'll see it isn't anything difficult to functionally grasp.

I began with the factory patches and then tweaked and tweaked. Once I got comfortable with the process I began making new patches up from scratch.
All of the ones in my demo were done in like two afternoons over a weekend.

Love my TX81Z. Contrary to popular beleif, it's actually quite approachable from the front panel, it just takes a bit to get used to. I think a lot of the problems people have with it stem from not fully understanding FM synthesis, because, to be honest, it's very clear what you're editing and how to get to where you need.

I have no experience with the 100 or the FB-01, so take it as you will, but the TX is good by me. Nicely rackable.

I just don't get it when they make editors for things like the Alesis Ion, Chroma Polaris or other mostly knob per function synths. Seems like a total waste of time and effort.

And who'd want to use an editor on these synths? duh...

Great! I've read about this editor but couldn't find the beta. Can't download on my phone but hope the link is still good.

One of the best parts of Bloodlines (the Genesis Castlevania) was the soundtrack... it had hidden tracks that were classic Castlevania songs with the YM chip... stellar.
