I just got a Tempest and am really digging into what it can do. Just to get a feel for it, my first project was to re-create a drum pattern I had already done in Live 9. I created a few Beats (intro, verse, chorus, etc) using the Tempest's built in sequencer, and now I want to simply sequence these via note messages from a midi track in Ableton.

I'm using USB for Midi i/o, OS version 1.3. I created an "external instrument" on a midi track in Live, set the channels up correctly, and put the Tempest in 16 Beats mode. Theoretically this should work. But it's not.

Maybe this isn't possible. I'd really rather not have to rely on the Tempest's playlist mode....

Nevermind, it works! The notes set in the Tempest's Midi Pad Play Mode seem to be 2 octaves above what Ableton claims it is sending. Ableton plays a C1 = Tempest Receives a C3. Weird.
