Need help with new VST effects

I'm planning to update some of my effect vst plugins. I'm using Windows VST 32 bit host. Don't want to use dongles. Low cost, easy to use/install/license terms/free updates. So what do you think of these choises:

Compressor: Gytomic The Glue
Reverb: ValhallaDSP ValhallaRoom
Modulation: ValhallaDSP ValhallaUberMod
Chorus: D16 Syntorus
Multiband distortion: D16 Devastor
Multi tap delay: Need recommendation on this! Waves Multitap would be the kind I'm after.

Any other I need or need to test? Thanks!

All very good choices. It's worth having a look at Fabfilter's Saturn over Devastor as your distortion plug. I have the D16 plug and find it can be hard work sometimes to eke out a sound I like.

Can't recommend ValhallaUberMod enough. It's become pretty much the only effect I use for chorus and delay too. Found the interface to be a little oblique at first but once it clicked this thing really opens up. It's so easy to dial in exactly the sound you are looking for.

Not shure if you know those plugins

VST Effects – Variety Of Sound

I think they sound great and they are free.

Take a look at those as well

Those are exactly the plugs I wanted to recommend. Also have a look at the Voxengo plugs, some of them are free and can be quite useful.

I ure suse Variety of Sound plugins, those are great. Just bought Valhalla Room and Ubermod, those are so good IMO. Not sure about The Glue. Tested Saturn and I like it alot, though it's a little expensive. Also tested PSP new Echo plugin PSP Echo the high quality echo processor plug-in Audio Unit, VST, RTAS AAX for Mac OSX; VST, RTAS and AAX for Windows. sounds good IMO, maybe I'll get that as my delay workhorse.

...ubermod is awesome, and like so many others, it wasn't until I dedicated a control surface to it that it clicked. More shimmer than Shimmer!
