I dont know what this bit means TBH.... Ive never used chord memory in nearly 6 years... I wouldnt even know what it does or how to use it lol.

I have turned it on and turned tolled chord off - I still cant make mine do anything odd, but not knowing what its supposed to do anyway ???

Ive set up as you have documented, I have all 4 partials on with unison turned on, and manually play a 7 note chord with a very fast snap - and I dont get any strumming. My only guess is its something to do with chord memory (as I say - no idea how that works or what its supposed to do)

I can also reproduce it on my fat Fantom. I can also reproduce it without chord memory. I use one initialized Zen-Core part with 8x unison, and with 4 identical partials with VA-SAW. If I play a chord, then I can clearly hear that some of the voices are triggered later than others.

I can't find an answer to the question of why Roland doesn't sell the JD-800 expansion model for the Fantom-0. It's unlikely that the big Fantom relies on this expansion for greater sales.

Don't quote me on that because I don't remember the details but it may be because FANTOM-0 do not have enough spare power to run it. iiirc the JD model needs to run an additional multi effects block.

When it comes to talking about what a synth provides in terms of hands on controls, I think the Fantom 0 is highly underrated. At first glance it may appear fairly sparse with filter and resonance knobs but no sign of envelopes or LFOs. Yet a few simple shortcuts unlock a whole series of extra controls. Something the average YouTube reviewer appear oblivious to. So here's a few shortcuts I've learned.

• Shortcut 1 - Single Tone
  To forget about scenes (programs) and dive straight into exploring the synth pre-sets, press the Single Tone button, followed by the Synth category. Then off you go. Scenes are still needed to remember favourite tones but Single Tone is quick and easy to start browsing.
  
• Shortcut 2 - Change LFO rates and depth with the Function Knobs
  When a Zen-Core synth tone is selected (via Single Tone or is the current active zone in a scene, set via Zone Select) the function knobs under the touch screen allow LFO settings to be changed. F2 controls the LFO1 rate. Pressing the button rather than turning changes this to the LFO1 wave type. Turning the knob cycles through the various waves. Similarly F3 is LFO1 Filter depth. Pressing the button switches to pitch depth and press again for amp depth. F4 and F5 do the same for LFO2. The full LFO menu page can be accessed with a single press of the the LFO button if you need more control.
  
• Shortcut 3 - Change envelope depth with a Function Knob
  Similar to the LFO controls, the envelope depths can be changed via F6. Filter depth is set by default, pressing the button changes this to pitch depth. Pressing the Amp button will take you directly to the amp env menu page. There isn't a single button to jump to the Filter envelope but this is easily selected from the touch screen or using the F1 knob from the Amp Env
  
• Shortcut 4 - Editing individual partials using Pads
  A synth tone is made from up to four partials. By default, the Fantom filter and function knobs will effect every partial at the same time. This may not always be what you want. This is when the Partial Sw/Sel becomes useful. Press Pad Mode and then pad 3. The pads will change colour to red and yellow. The top row in red switches each partial on or off. It shows the partials that are currently making the sound. Pads 5 - 8 select a partial. The Fantom knobs affect only those pads currently selected. For example to only change the filter cut-off for partial 1, press pad 5. This selects partial 1 and unselects the others. You can select multiple partials at a time. Press and hold the first pad, say pad 5. Keeping this down, press the pads to select the other partials. You don't need to hold the others, just keep the first pad pressed.
  
• Shortcut 5 - Changing multiple zones
  So far everything has been about making changes on a single tone. It is possible to change settings across multiple zones by using the ctrl assign functionality. A number of settings are controllable via Midi CC. A range of additional settings can be configured as destinations in the matrix controls, and a Midi CC message mapped as the source. A knob or slider can be selected to map to the Midi CC and then you can choose which zones will be enabled for the knob/slider. So, for example, you could make the Zone 1 knob control Filter cut-off for every zone and the Zone 2 knob change resonance on Zones 1,3,5,11 and 15 should you wish.

In summary, the Fantom 0 has lots more hands on controls available almost instantly without any menu diving than most people realise.

The downloaded files include multiple versions of the expansions, which are automatically selected based on where you install them. The versions installed into the Fantom-0 are smaller ones, about 32 mb each.

you're probably confusing it with FA06), there really is a 32 MB package each. And the Fantom 0 has final installation files from 45 to 140 MB. That 's what alerted me .Either it is not fully installed, or some kind of glitch. But he didn't make any mistakes, and the sounds in the pack are still playing.. It's kind of weird

I"m not confusing it with the FA, though the FA and the Fantom-0 both use 32 mb versions of those SRX-based expansions. The difference I'm talking about is that the downloadable item for the Fantom-0 includes the 32 mb version plus additional data that is used only when installing into some destinations other than the Fantom-0. You'll see that when installing one of these expansions into the Fantom-0, the available space only goes down by about 32 mb, because it is installing only the small version.

I tried to make my own sound from a sample that I recorded myself.
first , we recorded it and saved it to an internal disk , then imported it into the keyboard by assigning

You can delete samples in the KBD SAMPLE UTILITY menu. It is available on screens KBD SAMPLE WAVE EDIT, KBD SAMPLE
LIST and SAMPLE PARAMETER. See the reference manual for more details.
