I’m a huge fan of BBD based delays, choruses, and flanges. I don’t think the Dimension D and 3rd Dimension are uniquely special, but they do sound great to me. They’re more subtle than some of the other BBD based effects. Here’s a list of some other options. Many use the same Coolaudio V3207 BBD chips, except the EHX models, which I believe use Xvive BBDs instead. They Coolaudio and Xvive BBDs are both clones of the Panasonic MN3007, which is no longer in production. Most of the difference in sound comes down to the LFO rate, depth, and mix blend with the original signal. These are all pretty similar, vibe wise (dark, dirty chorus/flange).

I forgot I had one of these hidden in the back of the closet - pulled it out seeing this thread bumped.

It's fine for the $60 I paid for it. I would not pay more than that and 99.9% of the time I'll continue using the Arturia version probably - my preference is for Eventide-style pitch effects as wideners anyway.

The only hardware chorus effect I miss is the Fromel Seraph Deluxe - also based on the Dimension D but with some other tricks up its sleeve and it had the proper input impedance to work with guitar and flattered synths direct in. Hard to find now and $400ish when one does pop up. I regrettably sold it to help with some medical bills but it was really good.

Haven´t tried any of that list, but my fav by far is the vintage Boss CE1, that is floating trippy
