On on serious note, what do you expect? A vendor leaving stacks of unshipped units at the factory, to constantly update them, bevor they get to the resellers? Resellers unwrapping them after receival to keep them constantly updated before they eventually get sold and shippend to the end user?
People these days.
I bet your particulat unit was produced many months ago, when either 1.26 or rather the version before that were out. Because, how do you know if it is a "new batch"? Check the serial # against others.
You are so ironic. . I understand that you feel a superior human being but have in mind those infos:
My unit came with firmware 1.26.This firmware was released 4-5 years ago. latest version is 1.31 and there were about 2 firmware versions between those 2.
I ordered it from thomann, the biggest reseller in Europe and when I ordered it it had a waiting time of more than 2 months. So it wasn't in stock. They ordered new units from behringer. My unit is not a b stock.
Updating firmware, is a piece of cake for me.I have many synths and big experience. Obviously I asked for different reasons whatever I asked, not the reasons that you 'd hope for. I set up pcs and studios many years now.
Forums are a place to help, not mock and underestimate people.
So please next time, before you answer, just rethink what you ll write and the real reason you want to answer.
**it doesn' t matter if my unit is an older batch. My answer is the same.
**for your knowledge, there are cases that companies suggest an older firmware for some specific reasons, related with specific hardware parts-changes. I have faced such an issue with my sequential ob6(not really a problem cause sequential informs you which firmware is suitable for your synth, based on its serial number).
***you just lost your bet.
